Parent Info
Swimtopia
-Please download the app using your login information from registration
-Use the app to declare your swimmer as "attending" or "not attending" each meet
-Use the app to sign up for volunteer jobs (available on May 15 at 9 am)
Practices
-Swimmers should make every effort to attend practice as often as possible
-Swimmers should arrive 10 minutes prior to practice wearing a one-piece suit and their LKR swim cap
-Drop off is totally fine for swimmers over the age of 9
-Before and after practice, if at the pool, your swimmer MUST have another adult responsible for them, as with any other time at the pool
-During practice, parents should stay behind the area of the baby pool. This allows coaches the space they need to coach :)
Volunteering
-Shifts are available on the SwimTopia app under each event on the schedule. These open on May 15, 2026 at 9 am
-It is strongly encouraged that you stick with the same role, if possible, to allow for consistency
-Volunteer requirements are per family
-If you are in a volunteer exempt role, you will know this and should not sign up for shifts during meets
Meets
-Swimmers should arrive at meets on time with caps, goggles, and team suits
-Swimmers should arrive "marked up". Examples of this are under the "meets" tab. Heat sheets will be made available on the mornings of the meets and can be used for mark ups. Kids over age 9 should be able to do this mostly independently and we encourage parents to help their swimmers learn to do this on their own
-Meet events and relays are decided on by coaches. If your swimmer has an event they'd really like to swim, please encourage them to speak with their coach directly during practice.
-Prior to the meet, please be aware of what relays your swimmer may be in. They can leave the meet when finished swimming, but please make sure they are not in a free relay (the last event) before heading out
-Printed heat sheets will not be available at the meet, but you can print your own or follow along on SwimTopia!
